Tanzanian Peaberry is a characterized by a rare bean mutation that causes only a single bean to grow within each coffee cherry instead of the typical two beans. The bean is oval and rounded in shape, as opposed to its normal flat-sided form. This abnormality appears in about 5% of all coffee cherries harvested. Many coffee enthusiasts believe that this unique bean develops an even more complex and sweeter taste.
