Coffee cocktails have recently been making headlines across
the country as they continue to become a more common find in bars seemingly
everywhere. If you’ve ever tried one of these tasty concoctions, you probably
have a good idea of why these drinks are so popular. From frothy, hot lattes
laced with icy-cold liquor infused with coffee beans, the options are
delightfully abundant. You don’t need to
spend money in a trendy bar in order to
sample these modern brews. You can learn how to make some of the most tempting
gourmet coffees with alcohol at home, which will impress your party guest for
many years to come.
Simple Java Martini
When you’re learning
to master the art of creating coffee cocktails, you might want to start simple.
A Java Martini is easy to make, but the end
result will seem both elegant and trendy. Gather one ounce of vodka, one
ounce of Kahlua and an ounce of brewed coffee. Shake them together in a chilled
cocktail shaker that contains ice. Strain the blended ingredients and pour them
into a martini glass. Then, garnish the
drink with some single origin coffee beans.
Celtic Coffee Drink
Also known as an Irish Coffee, this Celtic coffee drink has
been a favorite among pub patrons for decades. Assemble an ounce of Irish
cream, an ounce of Irish whiskey and two to three ounces of whole milk in a
food processor or blender. Add an ounce of freshly brewed gourmet coffee and
two ounces of chocolate liquor, blending until smooth.
English Toffee Coffee
This one is sinfully sweet and generally addictive, so be prepared to make more if you’re serving it to guests. In a food
processor or blender, mix a half ounce of English toffee candy pieces that have
been broken, two ounces of brewed espresso, and two ounces of sweetened instant cocoa. Pour six to eight
ounces of boiling water over the coffee blend in a cup, and garnish the
beverage with warm, frothy milk.
Chocolate Hazelnut
Truffle Cocktail
The Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle cocktail could become one of
your favorite liqueur-infused gourmet coffee blends. Combine two ounces of
brewed coffee and one ounce each of chocolate liqueur, vodka and hazelnut
liqueur in a cocktail shaker. Blend the
ingredients, and serve with a garnish of chopped hazelnuts and chocolate
shavings.
Espresso Berry
Surprise
This beverage is perfect for a relaxing Sunday brunch. In a
chilled cocktail shaker, mix two ounces of gin, an ounce of brewed espresso,
and half an ounce of simple syrup. Add three raspberries or blackberries and an
ounce of orange juice. Shake all of the ingredients together with ice, strain
them into a glass and garnish the final product.
Many liquor and coffee drinks and unbelievably easy to
concoct. They taste fabulous and make a great addition to any party menu. Once
you start making your own coffee
cocktails at home, you may never want to go anywhere else on the weekends.
